Lessons

The benefit of a private lesson is how quickly skills are developed as a result of one-on-one instruction.

Weekly private lessons are are available to artists ages 16 and up. Examples of the artist's work must be submitted and will be reviewed to determine whether the artist is ready for private lessons, or if class time is needed to prepare for private instruction.

Classes for Adults!

Brush and Sketch offers art opportunities for adults at various skill levels.

Our hobbyists and beginners enjoy a casual open-studio concept class on Wednesdays from 1-2 pm. Each artist works on their own project with coaching and instruction from Nancy Ball.

Artists that want to grow their skill and take their art to the next level are welcome to join John Ball in the studio for drawing and painting classes. You can find out more about classes with John Ball here!

Classes for Kids!

Our kids classes are so much fun!!

Classes meet once a week, are one hour in length and are kept small so learning can be customized to the age, skill level, and interests of the artist. Enrollment is always open; artists can join the studio anytime!

All materials (paint, brushes, canvases, etc.) are provided except for a sketchbook and drawing pencils, which can be purchased at the studio.

Drawing and Painting Classes with John Ball

Tuesday evening drawing class (for ages 14 through adult) is a great way to grow your drawing skills and get in regular practice time. Through projects and exercises, instructor John Ball gives expert advice and coaching to increase artist's drawing abilities.

For drawing class only, artists have the option to pay for each class they attend or register to attend each week (at a reduced rate). Click on the registration form below for details.

Saturday evening painting class (for ages 16 through adult) is
an opportunity to learn painting techniques from professional artist John Ball. John will demonstrate water-media techniques (watercolor and acrylic) and be available for coaching and instruction as artists work on personal projects.

For both classes, artists bring their own materials.

Classes take place at the Brush and Sketch art studio, located at 7004 Pine Forest Rd, Pensacola.

Art Share!

Art Share is a FREE, once-a-month, show and tell opportunity with a specific theme that will be highlighted. Come to the studio with one or two of your paintings to meet local artists, talk shop, and be encouraged, informed and challenged by your art community.
